Wish upon a star from the comfort of your car

March, 2018

From keeping your kids entertained during long car rides, to allowing you to witness the beauty of the outdoors even in the coldest of winters, the expansive Stargazer Panoramic Roof in the MG ZS allows passengers to experience nature, all from the comfort of their cars.

Australia is home to some of the most spectacular and breathtaking landscapes, so in honour of the beauty of that stunning scenery, we are encouraging all MG enthusiasts to take their MG ZS out and witness the splendour of Australia for Earth Hour 2018.

This year, millions of people in over 180 countries will be switching off their lights for one hour as a symbolic gesture to show the importance of the environment. Here at MG Motor Australia, we think that there is no better way to show solidarity with the Earth than jumping into the ultimate compact SUV, driving out of the city and embracing the starry skies through the Panoramic Stargazer Roof.

Found in the Essence model of the MG ZS, the Stargazer Sunroof dominates 90 per cent of the roof and is one of the largest panoramic opening roofs in the small SUV segment. The semi-retractable roof also gives you the freedom to embrace the open sky, or close the roof and keep the elements out with an electrically retractable sunshade.

Through our parent company, SAIC Motor, we are continuously developing new and efficient technology. For example, in 2017 we revealed the exciting grand tourer concept vehicle, the E-Motion, featuring technology based on SAIC Motor’s all-electric platform. Accelerating to 100km in 4 seconds – with over 500km driving mileage – the vehicle allows you to realise your sports car dreams, all while keeping the energy output clean. We strive to improve our fuel efficiency, and bring you fun – but efficient – motoring for life.

Whether it be driving to the Blue Mountains, or going on an adventure down the Great Ocean Road, you and your best mates cango stargazing from the comfort of your favourite MG SUV.

Earth hour takes place each year, with the 2018 ‘switch off’ taking place at 20:30 AEDT on Saturday 24 March.
