MG Motor is bringing its ownership experience into the digital world with its first-ever virtual Show and Shine for Australian owners. The month-long event celebrates the rich heritage and bright future for the MG brand and shines a spotlight on the many fascinating stories behind the cars and their owners.

A first-ever for the MG brand in Australia, the Show and Shine will be completely virtual, taking place across Facebook throughout September. With the goal of showcasing Australia's love of classic and modern MG vehicles, owners and fans can get involved by sharing their favourite vehicle photo and MG memory.

With the current climate limiting these opportunities, the online event is not only a celebration of the thousands of MG owners within Australia but an opportunity to unify the MG family at a time when human connections are more important than ever.

Reinforcing its dedication to giving back to the community, MG Motor Australia will be donating up to $50 for each upload to the Facebook event page to Australian Red Cross with the overall goal of raising up to $100,000 for vulnerable, at-risk Australians. Every photo or video submission will also have the opportunity to win one of more than 30 prizes for the best submissions.

Peter Ciao, CEO of MG Motor Australia and New Zealand said: "In these uncertain times, it's important to stay connected with family and friends, and with thousands of iconic vintage, classic and modern cars nationwide, we're bringing our MG family together to help raise essential funds for Australian Red Cross."

Australia is home to the largest national community of MG Car Clubs, who are leading the charge with a collection of iconic roadsters, retro vehicles and modern SUVs to name a few. For many MG owners, particularly those in the midst of Stage 4 lockdowns in Victoria, the virtual Show and Shine is an opportunity to connect with the MG community.

Allan Fabry, President of the MG Car Club Victoria said: "Since first making its home down under, MG Motor has continued to capture the hearts of Australian motoring enthusiasts everywhere. With Club members in Victoria currently confined to their homes, the Show and Shine provides a way for our wide-reaching community to connect with other MG owners, without stepping foot outside of their living rooms. It is a beautiful showcase of the MG legacy, and a reminder to many that the MG spirit continues to shine, despite many of our cars remaining in our garages at present."

MG owners and car aficionados can get involved by registering their interest to the MG Show and Shine Facebook event page.
