HS Plus EV Excite now available from MG
MG Motor has added a more value-packed variant of its successful HS Plus EV to its lineup in Australia and New Zealand.
Known as the HS Plus Excite, it takes inspiration from the leading technology features that have made the HS Plus EV a hit with discerning Australian buyers.
The HS Plus EV shares the same 189kW/370Nm petrol/electric powertrain, plug-in battery and comprehensive safety technology as its high-specification stablemate.
Both HS Plus EV models are powered by the same combination of a direct-injection four-cylinder 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a compact yet powerful 90kW electric motor to produce a total of 189kW and 370Nm, while returning a combined fuel consumption figure of just 1.7L/100km and emitting a mere 39g of CO2 per kilometre.
The new Excite, like the higher-end Essence, accelerates from rest to 100km/h in 6.9 seconds.
Coupled with a liquid-cooled 16.6kWh lithium-ion battery that provides a driving range of 63km (NEDC) on a full charge, the MG HS Plus EV Excite gives consumers an entry-level option to access to the MG HS Plus EV at a more affordable price point.

The mid-sized five-seat SUV also sports automatic headlights and wipers, keyless entry and pushbutton start, LED daytime running lamps and taillights, electronic park brake and much more.
