Sian - Sales Consultant at Five Dock MG
It all started with Sian's sister being in the market for her first car which led the duo to MG Five Dock. Little did she know that the sale of an MG3 would start a journey that she's still in the middele of as a consultant within the dealership.
"We were just having a chat when they told me that a role was available in the team. At first I thought it was just a joke, but that same day I sent in my resume.
"Three days later I had an interview and boom I was here. I did not expect it but I'm also so happy that it happened."
Sian said one of the most enjoyable aspects of her role as a Sales Consultant is that it really allows her to embrace her social side and engage with the general public in helping them to find their dream car.
"My role is all about making the customer feel at home and helping them find what MG is right for them."
"I think building trust with a customer is incredibly important, you aren't just telling them about the product, but knowing what it is that they want and doing whatever I can do to help."
"It's not just about selling a car for me, I'm genuinely interested in people, and it brings me a lot of joy helping to find them their dream car."
Sian said it's the affection and support that her co-workers have for one another that really helps her to be at her best and from the start it has been this way.
"Everyone is just so supportive of each other here and from the jump I feel like I was warmly welcomed," she said.
Because of this atmosphere, it is no shock that Sian was able to quickly settle in and learn the ropes, leading her to selling her first MG very quickly.
"Selling my first car is definiely something that I'll never forget, it was a real rush."
"I had a customer come in, he had no idea what he was looking for, he was a university student. I showed him through the range, and on the same day he drove away with an MG, it was a great moment."
"At the end of the day, it's the customer who will be driving the car for a long time, not us. So for me it's rewarding to find which MG matches their needs and knowing they are driving away with a car that's going to play an important part in their life."
